Denver R&B fans are likely familiar with Kayla Marque's unique talents, on display recently at The Larimer Lounge, Ophelia's Electric Soapbox and others. True hipsters may recognize Marque from Sofar "secret gigs and concerts" in Denver and Los Angeles.

Marque says her goal is "to encourage and empower people to create their own narrative, live authentically, and to experience themselves in totality, thereby healing through medium of self expression and discovery through nurturing and cultivating artistic creation."

Marque is set to play Red Rocks Amphitheater on New Year's Eve, and again on Sunday, Feb 2.

Wasteland Hop's Gotta New EP

Steph Jay and MC Mickey Kenny will be mixing influences from The Roots to The Black Keys Friday 11/22 at the Lost Lake Lounge. The cozy-venue concert comes on the heels of Thursday's release party for their new album Erosion Osmosis at Washington's FoCo in Ft. Collins. The home-town indie hip-hop band's track The Curse is featured in this week's Vagrom Eclectic (set two).

Even though season one of Vagrom Eclectic comes to a broadcast close next week (for what we officially call our 'winter hiatus' - more on that in future blogposts), Vagrom will be packaging all 18 episodes in time for a Chill Holiday Prescription.
